The Foreign Correspondents’ Association of Southern Africa gladly accepts applications for new memberships and associate memberships.

Full Members shall be persons recognized by the Association as genuine, actively practicing foreign correspondents resident in southern Africa . They should work for news organizations whose headquarters are based outside Southern Africa . To qualify for membership, freelancers should be employed directly on a contract or fulltime basis by one or more foreign news organizations and have been working as a correspondent for at least six months up to the time of application for membership. The cost of a Full Membership is R500 per annum.

Associate Members shall work for embassies, non-governmental organisations, the United Nations, public relations and communications companies, or institutes that regularly deal with the foreign press. Membership approval will be at the discretion of the FCA Board. The cost of Associate Membership is R800 per annum.
